A techpreneural firm, Blueapple, is set to hold its maiden National Engineering Science and Tech Essay Competition (NESTEC), on November 14th in Lagos. The Chief Executive Officer, Blueapple, Michael Akan, said the objectives of the competition are to unlock the untapped potential of Nigerian youths in the field of engineering science, and to promote research culture among engineering students. The competition will also develop their capacity for technical paper and essay writing.He mentioned that through the competition, global opportunities will be created for the students to show case their untapped talents. He said that NESTEC 2019 call for paper is on-going and that students in institution of higher learning are free to participate. These partners are the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE), the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Ikeja branch, and the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE).NESTEC 2019 also partners at the national level with the student bodies, such as the Nigerian Universities Engineering Students Association (NUESA), and National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS).
